High-stakes decisions don’t fail from lack of intelligence.
They fail from distortion.
I research why — and what leaders can do about it.
Studying what happens before
the decision is made.
Executive Decision-Making Processes Across Gender, Industry, and Cultural Context: A Survey Study
Despite extensive research into organisational decision-making, empirical data on how executives actually describe their own decision processes — across demographic and cultural contexts — remains fragmented. This study addresses that gap through a structured survey of executive decision-makers, examining variation across gender, industry, seniority, and regional context, with particular attention to Western and Middle Eastern leadership environments.
“The filters don’t operate inside the decision.
They operate upstream of it.”
The research programme examines the forces that distort each stage of this loop — and why the loop itself becomes self-reinforcing over time. The full framework is delivered through keynote and executive programme.

I am a decision intelligence researcher, keynote speaker, and the founder of BizBite Ltd. My work sits at a specific intersection: the gap between what decision-making research can observe and what actually determines how high-stakes decisions get made.
That gap is pre-cognition — the filters that operate before conscious reasoning begins, shaping which information enters the decision process in the first place. Existing research is almost entirely inferential. It studies outcomes, retrospective accounts, and laboratory proxies. The upstream mechanisms remain empirically underspecified.
My research programme addresses this directly. A six-paper series examining executive decision-making across demographic and cultural contexts — building from empirical survey data through to a unified theoretical framework grounded in five prior publications.
I hold a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Bedfordshire, with doctoral research examining cognitive processes and decision strategies in assessment contexts — foundational work that directly informs the methodology of my current research programme.
Through The Signal by BizBite™, I apply this research daily — decoding real business and geopolitical events to surface the distortion beneath the headline. Over 1,000 executive subscribers, 90% C-suite, across email, podcast, and broadcast.
Based between London and Riyadh, I bring a cross-cultural perspective to decision intelligence research — with particular focus on leadership decision-making in the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
Research. Applied.
A daily decision intelligence brief decoding the human forces behind business and geopolitical events. Mon–Sat across email, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon.
A keynote built around a proprietary decision intelligence framework — delivered to leadership teams, boards, and executive conferences.
A six-paper academic series building toward a unified framework of pre-cognitive distortion in high-stakes executive decision-making.
The talk that changes
how leaders decide.
Most leadership development programmes address skills, strategy, and culture. Very few address the invisible forces that distort judgment before conscious decision-making even begins.
This keynote does. Drawing on an active research programme and daily applied analysis of real-world decisions, it delivers a framework that senior leaders can use immediately.
Available for conferences, leadership summits, executive offsites, and board development programmes.
The distortion is already
in the room.
